Water Gradient Technology — built like a tear, not a lens

Most contact lenses have the same material from core to surface. DAILIES TOTAL1 doesn't. The lens material (delefilcon A) transitions from a highly breathable silicone hydrogel core with a 33% water content to an ultra-soft, essentially silicone-free hydrophilic gel at the surface, where the water content rises above 80% — and approaches 100% at the very outermost layer that touches your eye and lid. What touches your eye isn't really plastic at all — it's a cushion of water.

One of the highest Dk/t values of any daily disposable

The silicone hydrogel core delivers a Dk/t of 156 — among the highest oxygen transmissibility values of any 1-day lens. Plenty of oxygen reaches your eyes throughout the day, helping keep them looking white, bright and healthy-feeling.

SmarTears Technology — supports your natural tear film

SmarTears Technology releases phosphatidylcholine — a lipid found naturally in human tears — into the tear film during wear. The idea is simple: help support the tear film's natural structure, slow down its evaporation and keep the eye feeling comfortable for longer.

Exceptionally low surface friction

The ultra-soft water-rich surface gives the lens extremely low friction against the lid and the eye. Less rubbing means less irritation, less end-of-day tiredness — and that signature “forget you're wearing it” feel.
