Do I need a special solution for silicone hydrogel lenses?

All major multi-purpose solutions sold today are multi-material compatible. Look for wording like "for all soft lenses" or "for silicone hydrogel and hydrogel lenses".

Exceptions:

• Older single-purpose products (saline, surfactant-only cleaner) are not standalone solutions and weren't designed for modern materials.
• Some specialist solutions (e.g. for heavy lipid-depositors) target one material more aggressively, but the bottle will say so.

If you're ever in doubt, the lens material is on your box (Hydrogel / Silicone hydrogel) and the matching solution category is on the bottle.
