What is the difference between daily, two-week and monthly disposable lenses?

The numbers refer to the replacement schedule, not how many hours per day you wear them.

ScheduleCleaning neededBest for
Daily disposablesNone — discard each eveningOccasional wearers, allergies, travel, sport, anyone who values zero routine
Two-week (bi-weekly)Multi-purpose solution every nightDaily wearers who want a balance between cost and routine
MonthlyMulti-purpose solution every night, sometimes a deeper clean weeklyRegular full-day wearers — lowest cost per day

The clock starts when you open the blister, not when you put them on. A monthly lens opened on the 1st must be discarded on the 30th even if you wore it only 5 days.

Daily disposables cost more per day but eliminate cleaning solutions, the case, and most infection risk. Reusables cost less but demand a disciplined routine.
